          this is my very favorite picture of him...

          His time here was extra special..for him as well as for us...

          There could be no other ferret as loved as he was...:) He played his heart out the whole time...was never caged... Looked like an angel when he was sleeping... Guess he was always an angel... I just did not see it till he was gone...:)

          I'm so sorry for your loss of SonnyBuns. Even though you weren't there physically when he left, you were there. And he already knew about the Bridge-the FertAngels come and whisper this to the ones that have to leave before their moms and dads can tell them. He knew and is safe, and like the ferret in this picture, watches you from the pool there at the Bridge. I wish I was talented, like yourself, so I could do something on the web for you as you did for Suzy, but I'm not. Please accept this in lieu of that.

          My favorite Biblical verse is from Ecclesiastes,and the parts that are really comforting are:

          To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under Heaven;
          A time to be born, and a time to die;
          a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
          (skipping the next verse)
          A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
          a time to mourn, and a time to dance.

          Know that SonnyBuns is now dancing up a storm, laughing his little head off. He knows that you mourn, but doesn't want you to mourn too long, he'd want you to dance with him.

          THE RAINBOW BRIDGE
          Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

          When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

          The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they miss someone very special to them; who had to be left behind.

          They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. The bright eyes are intent; the eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to break away from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. YOU have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

          Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together ...

I know it isn't the same and it doesn't take away or lessen the pain, especially not right now, but hold onto the wonderful, fun and loving memories that you shared. Let them keep you company until the day when you can be together again...

          AND THE LORD CREATED THE FERRET

          And the Lord stretched forth His arms and created the animals of the Earth. And He saw that it was good.

          And as He gazed upon His creation, He felt something furry touching his foot.

          As he looked down, He saw a small face look upon His glory.

          The Lord bent down to pick up this wiggly little wonder.

          The creature peered into the face of the Lord, and the Lord smiled and said,

          "You, little one, are one of my finest creations. Man shall name you "Ferret" but, I shall call you "Love".

          As the Lord spoke, the little creature listened intently.

          Then the Lord lifted the little furry creature up to His Father in Heaven, and said, "Little one, I am giving you to mankind, for man will need you to bring love into his heart.

          The little creature snuggled all the while in the arms of the Lord, and as the Lord bent to return the creature to the ground, He said, "Your life on Earth will be short, but during that time, you will have touched many hearts bringing much love and happiness to all you meet, and when that time is over, I will call you home to be with me."

          When the Lord finished speaking, the furry little creature chattered and jumped, as he knew what the Lord had said to him.

          The Lord smiled, shifting His eyes towards the heavens and said, "It is good."

          Happenings at Rainbow Bridge
          Ferrets impatiently hiding along the sides of the Rainbow Bridge. The air is charged with excitement. As Sonny starts to cross over they all tingle with anticipation. A few chortles and the soft fluttering sounds of tails gently wagging against the bridge are heard. Sonny is intrigued by the sounds not knowing what awaits him. Sonny stops, eyes wide, and listens - but now all is silent. As Sonny crosses over to the other side there is an explosion of furry bodies all dancing, jumping, rolling, and playing, drawing Sonny into their inner circle. The love and joyfulness in their little hearts envelops Sonny. Soon all settles down and the "oldsters" explain the waiting process to Sonny. Sonny is ever so gently groomed by the others to ease the pain of loss of living companions. Sonny is consumed by their love. They are all one big loving family anxiously awaiting the next newcomer and in the end, their own humans.

          said something years ago that stuck with me...

          ferrets like Fred, and now Sonny,
          who are taken from us too soon...
          they lived half as long but burned twice as bright.

          That quote has comforted me when I stop to think of Fred's all-too-brief life,
          and I hope it brings you comfort, too.

          Subject: Sandee greets Snowflake, Rio, and Sonny

          Hi all

          We did a double raid yesterday and got da dogs first and then da cats. There waz chaos everwhere and da raider ferrets had a blast although I am not naming names. Da Big Boss waz not pleased and I waz called up to discuss it with him. It did not go well for yours truly but he always forgives me. I just give him my cutest look and he melts.

          Another little guy named Sonny came in later. He waz met by Charlie, OldGuy, LWG, Narmy, Geezer and D'Weezle. They were very happy to see him and greeted him warmly. Then they wanted to know all da news and gossip at home. They talked for some time. Then it waz off to grab a snack at da Fruit Bar where they tried to eat it empty. They fell a little short on dat. Then they headed off to explore and see all da sights and attractions. I later saw them over at da Wrestling Matches where they were watching da matches and cheering on their favorites. They were really living it up. He said to tell hiz mommy and daddy dat he is sorry he had to go. He also said to send lots of luv an many hugs and cuddles to them.

          I am keeping a low profile for a while. Gotto go
