We got her at the same time as we got Charlie, her cagemate,
from
on Nov. 2, 1999. She was considered "unadoptable" because she
was a 'biter'. She would bite when she wanted to get down.
[However she doesn't bite now and never hurt me when she DID
bite at first...] She is deaf...and the person who had her
before she went to the shelter had also filed her teeth down.
I can not believe what cruelties some people will do to an
innocent creature. She probably bit because she was deaf and
misunderstood. They never took the time to see WHY she was
the way she was. Now she is happy and playful and loving....I
get TONS of kisses and she NEVER bites to get down now.....She
never bites for any reason now.
She is deaf, as I have said... but she has two favorite toys,
besides these "Cat-In-The-Hat" slippers, which she absolutely
LOVES!!!...[she keeps trying to drag them under the T.V....:)]
Anyway...her two favorite toys are a "santa' we got in
Tennessee when we got married...if ya hit it's butt, it says..
"HoHoHo...Meeerry Christmas"...and the other toy is a "chick"
that Tommy got after Easter...that "chirps"... Sandi has to go
"check" on these toys every day...and makes each one of them
"talk"...please keep in mind...Sandi is DEAF!!!!...LOL
She is also my "babysitter". She is who I let play with the
new babies when I get them. She is the sweetest thing and I
am SO SO glad I had to take her with Charlie...
She is one of the 5 I have gotten from Jean's Shelter....and
each one of them has been so very very special to me...and I
thank you so much, Jean...I love her more than I can say!!!!!!
She is just the sweetest, funniest thing in the world!!!
